From an almost standing start, Huber & Associates helped Burgers Smokehouse convert over 10% of their existing revenue from their traditional paper catalog sales to electronic orders via a new website. And also increasing new business by way of their website.
The core components include a straight-through publishing model supported by a Lotus Notes based collaborative editorial application and a self-managed customer web site where customers can search and buy Smokehouse products on-line.
The application was written to be as hands off as possible. Products are taken from a back-end database and synched into the on-line Domino database. This allows pricing and availability to be kept in sync with their in-house systems. After orders are placed in a secure on-line environment, synching takes place to insert the on-line orders into their existing ordering system. |
