Title:  Senior Systems Engineer – Open Systems

SUMMARY

The Senior Systems Engineer will work with a team and independently to support our clients in the public and private sector.

This Engineer will work on multiple technologies in customer environments including TCP/IP networking, servers, storage area networks, multiple operating systems (VMware, Windows, Linux), cloud technologies and many software packages that complement these environments. The Senior Systems Engineer will perform all responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties as assigned.

• Configure / deploy multiple types of hardware including rack mount servers, blade servers, storage area networks and SAN storage
• Configure / deploy MS Windows & Linux operating systems and VMware vSphere & MS Hyper-V hypervisors
• Configure / deploy MS Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server and related infrastructure services
• Configure / deploy Veeam Backup and Replication with local SAN, NAS and cloud based storage repositories
• Configure / deploy and upgrade VMware vSphere vCenter Servers, ESXi hosts and related VMware technologies
• Configure / administer public, private and hybrid-cloud environments
• Investigate / respond with service-oriented focus to client IT system issues, working with third-party vendors to resolve hardware and software issues
• Learn new technologies as directed and pass Business Partner certifications as needed
• Maintain complete and clear technical documentation to allow effective management of client environments
• Analyze research and recommend solutions to client security needs while maintaining security conscious approach and complete security training / certifications as needed (i.e. HIPAA – CJIS)
• Demonstrate effective time management and communication skills with clients and co-workers
• Maintain confidentiality of client information being processed or accessed
• Work with Huber & Associates Network Operations Center to insure complete resolution of client support issues for assigned accounts

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Demonstrate experience with design and deploy functional systems and cloud-oriented architectures
• Demonstrate experience Monitor systems for performance and integrity
• Demonstrate experience installing and administration of various software packages used to support client systems
• Demonstrate experience with MS Azure, Google Cloud & Workspace, Amazon Web Services and IBM Cloud

IT degree or equivalent with 4 years of industry-related experience in IT Systems or Cloud Administration
